PLEASE NOTE, THAT MAYA's AVAILABILITY IS CURRENTLY ON A HOLD. SHE IS IN A FOSTER HOME WITH AN AILING DOG. MAYA IS KEEPING HIM COMPANY AND SHE WILL BE AVAILABLE AGAIN AFTER HE PASSES AWAY. Please feel free to inquire about her status. Maya is a survivor. Literally. We have pieced together her story. She was born on the streets of East Los Angeles and lived there with her siblings and mother for a year before we rescued her. Maya was most likely hit by a car at one point and once we trapped and spayed etc. at our vet, she received a very successful hip surgery from which has has fully recovered. She already runs like the wind. Maya has been in a foster home since 01/06/15 and has made a huge transformation from being a terrified, feral dog, to a trusting, happy girl. She LOVES hotdogs, is already crate trained and has not had one accident in the house. Maya has already started obedience training and learns super fast. She uses the bathroom like clockwork when taken out and she likes to lounge on a soft blanket. We are looking for a very special person/family who is willing to take it slow with Maya and give her a chance at a real home. She is super smart and would be an escape artist if given the chance. Maya learns something new every day, it's truly amazing! She's wagging her tail a lot now and has become very affectionate. She's witty and fun and enjoys exploring the house. Maya will continue to blossom in the right environment and will be a fantastic companion dog!
